Description

The IDEAL THE 68 LT is a programmable paper guillotine designed for professional cutting applications in digital printing, commercial print environments, copy shops and post-press production. It combines precision engineering with intuitive touch operation, making cutting processes faster, safer and easier to reproduce consistently.

The large 15.6" multi-touch display allows operators to enter dimensions, create programmes, store recurring jobs and clearly manage cutting sequences. Operation is similar to using a tablet: intuitive, visually guided and requiring minimal training.

The Speedcut component enhances the workflow by automatically creating cutting programmes from print data, simulating the cutting sequence and transferring the programme securely to the machine via QR code. This creates a significant productivity advantage, especially for complex cutting jobs.

Compared with the previous series, the THE 68 LT delivers significantly higher performance: up to 40% faster clamping and cutting cycles, up to 50% higher maximum clamping pressure and up to 100% faster back gauge positioning. The air table on the front and back significantly facilitates handling heavy stacks of paper. This saves time on recurring jobs, reduces set-up times and increases productivity in daily operation.

The hydraulic clamping system securely holds the material in place before cutting. Clamping pressure can be adjusted continuously and programmed according to requirements. This enables precise processing of a wide range of materials – from standard paper to more delicate print media.

Precision Drive positions the back gauge quickly and accurately. Fine dimension adjustments can be made directly at the front of the machine. This reduces set-up time, manual readjustment and cutting errors during everyday operation.

Effortless positioning thanks to the air table.

The innovative air table significantly facilitates the positioning and movement of stacks of paper. Air is blown through small openings in the tabletop, creating an air cushion that minimizes frictional resistance between the paper stack and the table surface. This allows even large quantities of paper to be handled effortlessly and comfortably.

Preview the cutting line before cutting

The optical LED cutting line indicator shows the cutting position before the cut is activated. This makes cutting to marks easier, improves control during individual and correction cuts and reduces errors caused by incorrect positioning.
