Description

The IDEAL THE 68 is a programmable, state-of-the-art stack cutter – designed for the highest demands on efficiency, ease of operation, and precision. With a cutting length of 680 mm and a cutting height of up to 80 mm, this model is ideal for printing companies, bookbinders, and finishers with regularly high cutting volumes.

Operation is via a generous 15.6" multi-touch display, which clearly displays all functions and can be controlled via swipe and touch gestures. The integrated CUT-CONTROL software enables the quick creation and management of cutting programs - including a favorites function, search mode, and programmable pressing pressure. With the DATA-MANAGER, programs can be structured according to user, customer or project and saved on a supplied USB stick.

The core component is the PRECISION-DRIVE: an electromechanical blade drive in combination with hydraulic pressing. The pressing force can be adjusted steplessly and programmatically. The fine adjustment of the backstop is conveniently done via an ergonomic control element on the front of the machine. For manual interventions, a patented foot press is also available - independent of the machine drive.

The comprehensive SCS – Safety Cutting System protects the user with an electronically monitored IR light barrier on the front table, a closed back table, and a safe two-hand cutting release (EASY-TOUCH). The blade change is simple, safe, and tool-supported – with a covered cutting edge and animated assistance.

Thanks to its solid all-metal construction, an ergonomically adjustable working height (950–1000 mm) and durable components, the THE 68 is particularly robust and sustainable – with long-term spare parts supply and excellent repairability. A future-proof cutting system for professional use "Made in Germany".
