Trainee excursion 2018: Exciting – interesting – inspiring

Our trainees and their supervisors have just returned from a grand excursion. All of the participants agreed that it was an insightful, interesting and informative day.

The first item on the agenda was a factory tour of Hammerwerk Fridingen. Their high-quality drop-forged components and hot-pressed parts are used in all types of private, commercial and special vehicles throughout the world. Our tour group took a look behind the scenes of the international automotive supplier in its impressive factory. Our youngsters then went on a unique journey back to the Middle Ages with a visit to the "Campus Galli" monastic building site in Meßkirch. Here they learned the secrets behind methods of construction 1200 years ago and experienced first-hand how the buildings come into being using means available in the mid-9th century.
