Intensified sales activities pay off
Dubai, the economic centre of the United Arab Emirates, was once again the Paperworld Middle East venue in 2022. After this fair unfortunately could not take place in the last two years due to the pandemic, there was an on-site event again in 2022.
In addition to visitors from the United Arab Emirates, the only trade fair for the paper, office supplies and stationery sector in this important region regularly attracts interested visitors from surrounding states such as Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, India, Central Africa and Egypt to the Persian Gulf. Both the Middle East and Saudi Arabia are important sales markets for Krug + Priester.
Philip Coulin, Sales Director Asia Pacific: "Visitors to this international event are mainly specialist dealers and professional users – mostly from the government sector. Personal contacts are extremely important in these countries. Although the exit regulations are complicated, Paperworld Middle East offers the perfect platform to get in touch with our sales partners and potential customers directly on site and to show our new products and sales campaigns."
Focus on personal contacts
This was the eighth time we showed our products "Made in Balingen / Germany" at this event - together with nine further exhibitors at the German joint stand. With an attractive presentation, we gained very positive attention for our product ranges of document shredders, air purifiers and cutting machines. Supported by the sales team of our partner Axon Business Systems from Dubai, we welcomed many visitors on site and were able to draw a positive result from the trade fair.
"Our increased sales activities, an intensification of customer support as well as the visit of trade fairs directly on site have definitely paid off. The Near / Middle East has become a very important market for us and we are experiencing significant growth. However, the countries in the Persian Gulf offer even further growth potential for our product ranges. Once again, we have seen that our quality products are highly appreciated in this region and that our IDEAL brand has become a constant value there. Our participation in Paperworld Middle East will make a decisive contribution to further consolidating and expanding our market position", says Björn Sauter, Sales Director Export.
