Replacement 360° filters can be purchased from your retailer or at www.ideal.de
Just give your worn out 360° filter a slight turn to left and take it away from the air purifier.
Take your new 360° filter, place it in the dedicated position in the air purifier and give it a slight turn to the right. Done. Detailed instructions on how to easily replace the 360° filter are included with every new 360° filter.
The cover is held by magnets. Slightly pull on the sides of the air purifier to move the cover towards you. Then lift the cover to move the bolts from the bottom of the air purifier. When replacing the cover, first place the bolts of the cover into the bottom of the air purifier. Then move the cover towards the air purifier until the magnets hold the cover.
Turn the machine head slightly to the left and lift the head.
Yes, one 360° filter is already installed in the air purifier. The 360° filter must be unpacked before using the air purifier, as described on the filter/purifier.
In order to ensure the air purifier`s optimal performance, the pre-filter of the 360° filter must be cleaned of coarse dust and impurities such as hair from time to time.
AP30 PRO and AP40 PRO: If you are using a textile cover, that operates as a prefilter, you can easily take that textile off and vacuum it or even put it into the washing machine (pls see washing instructions on the label). If you operate the air purifier without a textile cover, just take the filter away from the air purifiers head by turning it slightly to the left. Now, use a slightly damp cloth to clean the coarse dirt directly off the 360°filter surface. Wait 5 minutes to let eventual remaining humidity on the 360° filter evaporate. Then put the 360° filter back into the air purifier and position it correctly by slightly turning it to the right.
AP60 PRO and AP80 PRO: To do so, remove the cover of the air cleaner. Now, remove the 360° filter by slightly turning it to the left. Now, use a slightly damp cloth to clean the coarse dirt directly off the 360° filter filter surface. Wait 5 minutes to let eventual remaining humidity on the 360° filter evaporate. Then put the 360° filter back into the air purifier and position it correctly by slightly turning it to the right. Replace the metal cover and you're done.
Used 360° filters can be disposed with your regular waste/garbage.
The 360° filters have an average life span of 12 months. The life span depends on the intensity of use and is between 6 to 18 months.
IDEAL air purifier AP30 PRO and AP40 PRO will blink orange when it´s time to replace the 360° filter. IDEAL air purifier AP60 PRO / AP80 PRO / AP140 PRO will display a red "F" on the display when it´s time to replace the 360° filter.
Yes, they are! Allergy sufferers in particular benefit from the improved indoor air, because allergens such as, mite allergens and pollen are filtered from the indoor air. Breathing freely, less coughing, sleeping through the night – that's what allergy sufferers experience with our products. IDEAL air purifiers are certified by ECARF (European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation).
If possible, position the air purifier right next to the wall of a room to generate a circular air flow throughout the whole room.
Give your air purifier some space to the sides and above so he can breathe easyly and operate correctly.
Yes, it is safe to operate 24/7. In fact, the devices are designed to run 24/7.
You will notice the most positive air cleaning effect if the windows and doors of the room to be cleaned are closed. In principal, the optimal use of air purifiers can be compared to air conditioners. The windows stay closed when you operate an AC as well. Intense, intermittent airing can help to supply to the room with oxygen from the outside.
We do not recommend using air purifiers in humid rooms, because the filter components are not designed for humid environments. In particular, air purifiers are not suitable for operation in bathrooms or sauna areas, for example.
The IDEAL air purifiers are ultra-quiet. They are barely noticeable when running at the lowest setting (night mode). The exact values can be found on the respective data sheet or in the manual.
Check whether you have a constant flow of pollutants or smells into your indoor air.
Check whether your air purifier is placed next to an open window.
Check whether the prefilter surface of the 360° filter in the air purifier is heavily dirty from dust.
Check whether the air purifier is placed in a strong air flow, this could irritate the sensors.
Immediately unplug the device. Try to turn it upside down. Shake it to try to make the object fall out of the device. Do never disassemble the unit, as it is dangerous, and it will void the warranty. If you can´t remove the object from the air purifier, please contact your local dealer or distributor to get help.
possible explanations and solutions:
Window open or ventilation system on
New pollution from outdoors constantly comes into the room. This overstrains the machine.
=> Close windows (doors), max. tilt it. Turn off or at least turn down ventilation system.
During darkness, window tilted or ventilation system at low speed
In auto mode, the machines automatically adjust the operating mode. In night mode this does not happen.
=> Increase fan speed by 1-2 steps, compared to fan speed in auto mode.
Room dark (no problem with AP PRO models)
If the room is dark the air purifier turns into night mode, which is sufficient to maintain air quality in a cleaned room. However, it is not sufficient to clean a room.
=> Turn the light on or manually increase fan speed.
Laterally not enough space and/or air flow obstructed
The machine cannot “breath“and/or the cleaned air cannot circulate correctly in the room.
=> Make laterally min. 20-30 cm room to each side and do not place the machine under a table or similar.
The air cannot circulate
Due to obstacles (e.g. cabinets, partition walls) the air cannot circulate and can therefore not be cleaned everywhere.
=> Remove obstacles or use smaller machines with decentralized positioning.
Filter still wrapped
The filter only works after unpacking it.
=> Remove protective foil from filter.
Spent filter
In case the filter is spent (indicated on the display of the machine!) cleaning performance is reduced.
=> Change filter.
When sleeping the face touches the bed-linen set that is polluted with pollen and household dust. In this very short distance the air purifier cannot interfere.
=> Change complete set of bed-linen.
Possibly the sensor is not calibrated correctly.
=> Unplug the machine and plug it in again, then the sensor recalibrates.
The sensor can detect many substances, that a human being cannot sense.
Odours are a subjective perception and can only be removed completely in case the source of odours disappears completely.
=> Remove source of odours.
=> Possibly smell test by a third person.
